  1. Crazy, I don't have iPhone headphones but my normal headphones are always tangled, too. My headphones were even tangled before the first iPhone existed.

  2. This is so stupid. Scientists have discovered little creatures called tanglinians who creep into pockets and little spaces and entangle earphones. They are currently working on anti-tangilian sprays and stuff. I am so glad for science!

  3. This is actually nothing new. A good statistical thermodynamics textbook should include a derivation of how the Boltzmann entropy leads naturally to this -- indeed, it is part of the "chaos leads to order, and vice versa" set of real world applications of entropy that brings about the aha moment.
