Amazing Hover Machines [VIDEOS]

Sometimes you don’t know you really need something until it is revealed to you. The Hiller Flying Platform, pictured above, is one such item. Despite it’s sci-fi appearance, this amazing hover machine was actually created way back in the 1950s. It is essentially powered by two large contra-rotating fans contained within special air ducts which ensure stability. As you can see in this 1957 test, the pilot steers the hover machine simply by leaning his body, like a flying Segway. source
